Licensed Practical Nurse LPN

Main Job Responsibilities

LPN is assigned to clients in the home environment to provide nursing care and other duties as assigned on a case by case basis
Providing personal care and Instrumental Daily Living (IADLs)/Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Whole body care, including bathing, skin care, mouth care, hair care, seating positioning and other duties requested by clients to promote good hygiene.
Meal preparation and feeding as necessary
Equipment cleaning and appropriate housekeeping
Driving clients to and from appointments or shopping needs.
Assist in mobility issues
Communicating timely and effectively with clinical managers, scheduling staff, and other staff.
Document nurses notes in an informative and descriptive manner as to reflect the care provided to the client as well as the clients response to care.
You will report to highly experienced clinical support nurses. Each LPN will enhance our competitive advantage and support firm-wide objective to increase customer satisfaction and customer retention.
Deliver physician prescribed medical treatment to clients, up to and including vital sign and blood sugar assessment, repositioning, bowel and bladder care, range of motion exercises, skin assessments. (consistent with the individual case and Nurse Practice Act Standards)
Assist clients with mobility issues up to and including use of electric or manual hoyer lift
Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by physician
Verify narcotics count and maintain in home MARs.

Qualifications
A successful candidate will:
Possess following credentials: current Georgia State nursing license, AHA CPR card, driver's license, motor vehicle insurance, and TB test or chest x-ray
Use universal precautions, specialized equipment and wheelchairs, proper lifting techniques, and back supports.
Be able to read, write and comprehend English
Be physically able to bend, kneel, and crouch, sit, crawl, reach , handle, climb, balance, stand, walk, see, speak, hear, and write for over 95% of work time
Be able to lift or move up to 20lbs.
Have clean driving record and be able to pass a background check.
Have knowledge of and practice HIPPA rules and regulations
The following experience would be considered a plus

Experience in wound care
Experience in trach/ventilator

PS: The scope of the LPNs' job must meet the standards of Nurse PracticeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
