CLEARANCE:

The DBA shall perform database management and administration for Oracle, OEM, OAS, WebLogic, Identify and Access Management (IdAM) solutions, Grid Control, Portal, SSO, SQL server and STIG. The DBA shall work with stakeholders, team members and sponsors to manage Oracle database software over various platforms, including Windows, RedHat Linux, SUN, HPUX, and VMWare.

Creating, editing and executing scripts to process data. Monitoring Database performance. Assisting Government Developers.
Creating, editing and maintaining database schemas.
Creating database instances to include control files, redo logs, archive log mode and other required parameters.
Providing IT project management guidance and expertise to various government employees for projects and special projects as needed, by assisting with new project charters, schedules, requirements and other project management related tasks tracked VIA a helpdesk solution.
Integrating DBMS(s) and data with existing application software, web sites, portals, storage devices or business applications as well as assisting and testing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP).
Recovering from database failures, DBMS and data using Oracle RMAN and FLASHBACK or other designated recovery utilities.
Reading/interpreting database error messages and execute recovery of database instance, data or other pertinent database components. Engage Oracle support by submitting and monitoring the status of an Oracle Service Request via Metalink or similar tool.
Implementing Oracle RAC, automatic storage management and data guard at desired levels according to industry best business practices.
Supporting Virtual Web hosting, Virtual Databases, and virtual management of DBMS(s).
Remotely administering database instances using secure shell, KVM over Internet Protocol (IP) and other remote access tools.
Implementing DoD, Department of the Navy (DoN), and Marine Corps mandated upgrades and security patches to the DBMS Software, to include quarterly Critical Patch Updates.
1) Analyzing database error messages/alert logs and implementing corrective actions to resolve issues.
Designing, managing, implementing and configuring Logical Unit Numbers (LUN), file systems, disks, zones and other storage media on various storage devices in a Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID).
Implementing shared database file systems in a SAN/NAS/RAC environment.
Utilizing OEM or other designated tools to monitor and maintain the database environment.
Integrating DBMS(s) to OS(s), business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices.
Interpreting error codes generated by log and system files from DBMS(s), OS(s), business applications, monitoring agents, risk mitigation agents, backup/recovery agents, network devices and storage devices.
Recommending and implementing hardware, software, database or network solutions to resolve problems.
Evaluating indicators from hardware or network devices and consistently implement a permanent resolution.
Analyzing LUN(s), file systems and storage zones to resolve issues.
Creating/Modifying/Updating/Closing Trouble Tickets and Work Orders and to coordinate incident resolutions with the Help Desk via a Customer Services Solution.
Documenting procedures for database management and tasks utilizing Smartbooks, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other relevant documentation processes; provide metrics and reports that show how databases are performing.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Min 7 years of Oracle DBA on multiple platforms
Oracle RAC
US Citizen. (The DBA will work on a military installation, and must be eligible to receive a security clearance)
Must have a clean background and good credit.
Must be able to work onsite Mon-Fri, and willing to work a rotating Saturday with other DBA's about every 4-5 weeks.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
Secret Security Clearance is highly desirable

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
