Job
Summary:
Provide personal care assistance to senior clients in their homes/nursing facilities.
Job Description:
Successfully complete agency orientation program
life each client's Plan of Care as created by Nurse Supervisor
Demonstrate competency in providing personal care assistance such as bathing, dressing, feeding, ambulation, toileting, taking vital signs, etc
Demonstrate ability to provide a variety of services, such as: meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, escort to appointments / transportation, light housekeeping, run errands, shopping, light gardening, assistance with pets, etc
Maintain client confidentiality
Notify agency in a compensation: Competitive based on timely manner of any changes in client status
Complete experience agency paperwork as required. Adhere to agency policies and procedures
Attend and/or complete in-service training as required
Skills:
Good communication skills. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English. Ability to take vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. Must be able to positively interact with others.
Physical/Mental Demands:
May contend with difficult clients and family members / personalities.
Must complete and submit paperwork in accordance with agency time frames. Exposure to latex / rubber vinyl gloves. Ability to travel in good and inclement weather. Visual acuity with or without correction. May be exposed to pets. Driving, stair climbing, walking, standing, moving, stretching, bending, lifting.

Certified Home Health Aides-Certified Nursing Assistants
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant by the State of NJ. High school diploma/GED preferred. Minimum 1 year related experience preferred. Five year employment history preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Good communication skills
Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
Ability to take vital signs: temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure. Must be able to positively interact with others.
