Configuration Manager

Configuration Manager Configuration manager for a project impleneting a Java and Oracle based COTS solution into a complex technical environment.
Candidate will work with a high performing integrated project team including client and contractor resources working toward a common goal.
Work with a team of functional and technical resources to develop and enforce processes to enable quality code development, migration and efficient deployment across environments.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Manages the coordination and administration of configuration management activities.
o Serves as technical leader responsible for software build, release and source code management.
o Manages all system source code.
o Works with cross-functional teams in the management of system and product deployments.
o Determines and prepares documentation necessary to support Change Request application deploymentso Coordinates, prepares and delivers customer's required change reportso Reviews customer Change Management Change Request work flows, processes approvals, change data and documents to ensure adherence to procedures and policies.
o Assures that configuration data of all delivered and in-process software, hardware, and firmware are maintained in a current status at all times.
o Verifies that requirements to all baselines have been met for hardware, software, and firmware.
o Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
o Establishes and maintains software and hardware configuration baselines.
o Identifies and maintains the original configuration for requirements, design, software, and related documentation.
o Tracks, manages, and updates Configuration Change Requests throughout the SDLC process.
o Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated Changes Requests are deployed and a copy of the applications version and its associated documents are maintained within the Repositoryo Supports the Software Quality Assurance process audits.
o Attends development meetings and participates in formal change control meetings with project stakeholders.
o Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:
o 10 years of related experience.
o Advanced knowledge and skills in object oriented analysis, design and applications development using Java, Web Forms (GUI) and all related frameworks.
o Skills in analysis, understanding of both business and technical requirements, ability to resolve complex and critical technical issueso Working knowledge of Java/JEE applications design and deployment, Web Service in Java / SOA, Front End Programming (JSP, Servlet, Java scripts, CSS etc.
), XML, Database Programming (SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL), and Rational Clear Case change management tools.
o Logical/physical database development experienceo JBoss Application Servero Java EE/SEo Tomcato JSPo JSFo JQueryo Oracle 10g/11g Environment o ETLo Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
