IT Support and Audit Analyst

ScerIS is expanding and looking to add a critical role to our IT and Compliance Organization. This is a position that will assist both the Sr. Systems Administrator and the Chief Compliance and Security Officer. The role requires implementing and supporting a complex network environment that includes Windows Servers, SQL Servers, VMWare, SonicWall Firewalls and Windows 7/8.1 laptops. In addition to providing assistance in the support and modernization of the existing environment, you will also assist in the maintenance of the security programs in place to meet both state and federal regulations. This includes reviewing existing procedures, researching laws, researching and documenting business practices with an eye toward IT security and providing assistance in an internal audit role. This position requires a mix of technical skills, interpersonal skills, research skills, analytical skills and writing skills.
This position would be ideal for someone with experience in providing PC or server support, but is looking to learn higher level IT skills, as well as, gain experience with security and compliance. We will consider entry level candidates that have experience through internships or the classroom.

Primary Job Duties:
Log all incoming incidents and requests as well as actions taken to resolve them. This includes providing pc support, server support and training on software applications.
Assist with backups, patch management, hardware upgrades to servers and pcs. Monitor logs and reports to ensure computers are currently patched and meet company standards. Take proactive measures if a machine becomes non-compliant.
Continually maintain, review and update IT procure and infrastructure documentation with a focus on ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations including HIPAA are being met.
Assist the Sr. Network Administrator with his duties with supporting an environment that includes Windows Servers (2008/2012), SQL Servers (2008/2012/2014), Window PCs (Windows 7 and 8.1), VMWare hosts and SonicWall Firewalls.
Monitor logs and reports to ensure any security or network change has been properly documented and approved. Research proposed changes to identify any risks to security or compliance requirements if the change was made.
Interview and document business processes with a focus on maintaining programs that focus on compliance with HIPAA, MA 201 CMR 17.00 and other regulatory requirements we are required to maintain.
Continually research new technologies and identify the pros and cons to those technologies.
Continually research compliance regulations to identify changes that may impact ScerIS.


Requirements:
Experience in maintaining and supporting Windows PCs and Servers, including knowledge of Active Directory and related services (group policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Ability to quickly pick up new knowledge of specific applications within the environment.
Strong attention to details with the ability to troubleshoot issues and provide resolution.
Experience with developing and maintaining documentation for policies, procedures and best practices is a plus.
Knowledge in Information Security is a plus.
Experience with patch management and anti-virus is a plus.
Provide off-hour support as required.

This is a full time position in our Sudbury MA office. Compensation includes a competitive salary (based on experience) and a full benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement and a general vacation plan.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
