Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse performs a variety of activities to assist the Medical Director and Care Management personnel in delivering quality patient care. This position performs all duties within the scope of an LPN.
Essential Job Functions
1. Reviews the patient record, chart, reports, and other pertinent information for each patient prior to patient contact.
2. Coordinate patient care as directed by Medical Director and Care Management staff.
3. Answers phones, schedules appointments and arranges for patient transportation as needed.
4. Participates in marketing events as determined by business need.
5. Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Current Practical Nurse License in applicable state.
Two or more years of related LPN clinical experience.
Working knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 and CPT coding.
Computer literacy required.
Ability to maintain quality control standards.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Good communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills
Three or more years of LPN experience in a medical setting preferred.
