Controller for Shared Services serving multiple business units. Shared Services is focused on reporting on the consolidated results of the various business units, providing treasury services to the Business Units, ensuring consistent accounting treatment by all Business Units, managing all AR, AP, fixed asset accounting, & insurance coverage for the business units, preparing the consolidated income, personal property, & sales and use tax returns at the state and federal level, preparing annual consolidated and audited financial statements and coordination of the audit process with our independent auditor, designing and managing automated processes to seamlessly and efficiently bridge the full cash cycle from BU to treasury, and providing asset based lending style reporting to lenders concerning the consolidated AR, Inventory and equipment of all the businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes and directs procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and afford adequate accounting controls and services.
Designs and implements processes and procedures to cover the complete cash cycle of the business (process flow charting, automation, internal control safeguards, and cost reduction to build and maintain the most efficient processes possible).
Designs and implements processes and procedures to cover the complete cap ex appropriation process.
Establishes and works with VP Finance to oversee company-wide implantation of corporate financial policies and procedures conforming to banking, government, procurement and financial regulations.
Responsible for the compilation of data needed to file both the federal and state income tax returns for the company, along with quarterly estimated tax payments. The position will have responsibilities for any IRS and state audits. All state sales and use and personal property taxes are also performed by Shared Services. The Controller is also responsible for gathering data from staff as needed for various state and local tax incentives and related reporting obligations. Have working knowledge of fixed asset accounting to be able to maintain the FA system
Assures the proper application and administration of pertinent policies that contribute to a high level of morale, discipline and positive employee attitudes.
Acts as a monitor for all GAAP and Tax audits.
Manages a staff of 7-8 employees responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset accounting.
Manages all annual renewals of the Company's insurance coverage. Prepares historic analysis and forecasts payments and accruals throughout the year. Determines allocation of insurance premiums/expense for Annual Business Plan and provides updates during the fiscal year as needed.
Maintains primary responsibility for the corporate Chart of Accounts and works with VP Finance to ensure consistent reporting across various locations.
Consolidates the Company's financial statements on a monthly basis for both internal and for banking reporting.
Coordinates and provides support to other areas in preparing the Annual Business Plan, with specific responsibility for the Shared Services accounting plan.
Controls the issuance of bank accounts and monitors purchase card expense.
Prepares ad-hoc reports as needed.
Must effectively interface with ALL levels of the organization both at Corporate Headquarters and at the operating plants.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
4-year Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required.
10
years of accounting/finance and tax experience. Background in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Certified Accountant preferred.
Interpersonal skills to communicate with CFOs, bankers and tax and audit providers

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
