THIS IS A NOTIONAL POSITION, CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

SCOPE:
Under limited supervision, the Psychiatrist assesses and treats mental illness through a combination of psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication to assist individuals. Diagnoses mental illnesses and prescribe and administer treatment for people suffering from injury or disease. The healthcare providers (HCPs) will be used to backfill government medical staff that are deployed or unavailable at a clinic or other location as designated. Reports to the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
Health Care Provider shall be a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry or be American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board-eligible or certified in Psychiatry. Foreign medical graduates in Psychiatry shall possess a valid certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates.
Must have and maintain an active, valid and an unrestricted license or authorizing document from any U.S. state, District of Columbia, U.S. territory or jurisdiction to provide health care within the scope of practice for a specific health care discipline.
Have been continuously employed in the practice of medicine or in training for the one year prior to the commencement of services under this contract. Clinical experience diagnosing and treating primary care conditions and knowledge of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and related conditions.


DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Serve as a board eligible or certified psychiatrist with responsibility for full range of cases in Mental Health Services. Utilize a broad knowledge of psychiatric evaluation and treatment activities including, for example, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy and somatic therapies for disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (IV) (DSM IV). Knowledge and ability required to direct a multi-disciplinary psychiatric care team.
Evaluate and render treatment to outpatients referred to Mental Health Services, including complicated and severe psychiatric problems. Consult regularly with other staff as required. Utilize all psychiatric and treatment modalities to include groups, individual psychotherapy, family therapy, pharmacotherapy, community psychiatry, and liaison psychiatry, and adequately diagnoses and treats the mental disorders listed and described in the DSM IV.
Oversee and participate in the operation of the Psychiatric Day Treatment Program and Medication Clinic.
Perform MEBs and TDRL consult examinations and completes required reports within one week of examinations. Maintain records of intake evaluations and follow-up progress notes of patient contacts in accordance with QI and Medical Staff Bylaws.
Serve as an on-call psychiatrist as designated by the Mental Health Service call roster.
Provide physician coverage on the inpatient psychiatric service as directed by the Chief in the absence of the regularly assigned psychiatrist.
Perform a variety of pre- and post- deployment screening activities to include but not limited to PDHA and PDHRA duties. The HCPs shall complete narrative summaries and participate in MEB consults.
Counsels patients, their families and caregivers.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
