JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising payroll, performing various payroll functions, completing monthly closing and reconciliations, assisting in annual budget preparation, forecasting and performing various accounting duties, various payroll functions, and other duties as deemed necessary. Supervise costing to ensure that standard costs are properly stated. Responsible for assisting controller in various duties as deemed necessary.
General Accounting
1. Responsible for general ledger activity, including timely month-end closing and account reconciliations.
2. Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual forecast.
3. Various sales reporting duties as deemed necessary.
4. Monitoring the ship not billed function.
5. Working with the shipping and engineering departments to ensure that sales information has been reported correctly in Vanguard.
6. Ensure the hourly payroll is prepared correctly and ready for distribution.
7. Acts as backup to payroll processing function.
8. Responsible for adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, including compliance with the Company's internal Control Policy.
9. Maintains proper controls to meet internal and external policies and regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley.
10. Review/prepare completed payroll and reconciliations.
11. Assist the material group in the annual physical inventories.
12. Handle petty cash and company cars' management.
Cost Accounting
1. Provide assistance to cost accountant to ensure that products reflect the true cost.
2. Review material and price variance analysis.
3. Assist in the development of the burden study.
Assistant Controller
1. Assist in developing the budget.
2. Assist in preparing the forecast.
3. Responsible for preparing all month-end/year-end reports
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. B.S. Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
2. 5-8 years professional experience in accounting in a manufacturing business environment
3. Expertise of standard accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
1. Proficient in MS Office product utilization.
2. Proficient in industry standard MRP/Accounting software utilization and maintenance.
3. Demonstrated examples of achieving results within multiple teams including employees throughout multiple levels in the organization.
4. Ability to give clear verbal and written instructions to explain information required.
5. Demonstrated examples of presentation skills, training skills and team leadership skills.
6. Knowledge of Hyperion, JD Edward, Vanguard, SAP.
7. Requires strong problem-solving and analytical skills to gather and interpret quantitative information.
Willingness to relocate within the companyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
