Job Description:
(1) Leads cross-functional teams through the sourcing, evaluation, supplier negotiation and contract implementation.
(2) Develops and executes commodity and RFP plans.
Plans sourcing events with business to manage contract end dates and allow for transition.
(3) Provides expertise and advice on new approaches to sourcing and contract management.
(4) Engages the client to define, analyze and prioritize requirements with a view to the longer term business strategy.
(5) Manages directly or supports the business to pro-actively manage contracts and the performance of suppliers.
Provides consultation services to the business to resolve contract disputes.
(6)Communicates, monitors, and manages compliance with sourcing strategy and/or business process.
(7) Provides Procurement guidance on compliance with relevant company and public sector policies and procedures.
(8) Negotiates and executes medium dollar / complex contracts.
Candidates MUST HAVE the following Experience/Skills:
Knowledge, expertise in the strategic sourcing and category management.
(1) Full understanding of purchasing and inventory systems.
(2) Strong understanding of contract language terms and conditions, experience drafting contract agreements.
(3) Understanding of business, financial principles, financial modeling for RFP analysis.
(4) Strong analytical & MS Office.
(5) Collaborative team member.
(6) Problem solving skills.
(7) Strong negotiation skills.
(8) Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
Manager would like Candidates to have the following:
(1) Benchmarking, commodity market analysis.
(2) Utility or construction industry procurement.
(3) Equipment and services commodity experience.
(4) Project management experience.
Education/Degree requirements:
BS/BA, MBA Preferred.
Candidates MUST HAVE at least 5 years experience.
