Job
Summary:
Plans and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs for inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
Maryland licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Maryland
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Evaluates and plans therapy programs for each patient assigned as prescribed by physician.
Records and reports patient progress in consultation with the referring physician as specified in department policy.
Directs and aids the patients in therapeutic techniques, appropriate to patient needs, in accordance with PT practice guidelines.
Conducts or participates in in-service programs for hospital personnel and/or the general public at least two times per year
Provides accurate billing information on the same day as services.
Employs principles of therapeutic communication, interviewing techniques, problem-solving, and crisis intervention when performing patient care.
Handles stressful situations with tact and poise.
Strives to make good use of time during the work day by performing other duties needed, but not assigned.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
