Position
Summary:
The Manager, Employee Relations serves as a resource to the CLIENT US wide team primarily focused on maintaining positive employer/employee relationships that contribute to productivity, motivation, and morale, while instilling and maintaining CLIENT culture and values. This position will have multi-site / multi-state responsibility with primary responsibility for creating and implementing positive employee relations strategies and the development, implementation and communication of human resources policies and procedures. This role is also responsible for assisting and counseling managers and employees and responding to questions and concerns pertaining to workplace policies, procedures and compliance with all company and external requirements. This position will define and implement proactive positive employee relations strategies and initiatives, lead investigations, and develop rapid response plans as required.

Specific Responsibilities Include:
o Development, documentation and implementation of US based human resources policies & processes
o Lead activities, programs, processes associated with US and state human resources regulatory compliance.
o Partner with Communications Team to deliver employee and manager communications on relevant topics.
o Provide coaching and training to managers and human resources team on ensuring positive employee relations and communications consistent with company values and work environment expectations.
o Partner within Human Resources and with business leadership to establish and implement corrective action processes. Assist and guide managers and human resources team with issue resolution and appropriate counseling and corrective actions.
o Provide guidance and field questions from managers and employees as requested regarding application of policies and procedures and specific situations / issues.
o Coordinate with legal counsel as appropriate in policy and program development as well as ongoing management of issue resolution to ensure consistent application and on of company / US policies.
o Work closely with human resources, public relations and government relations team members as appropriate on externally facing programs and community affairs.
o Coordinate closely with global company resources to ensure that company- wide policies, practices, and values are considered and applied appropriately.
o Partner within Human Resources to define processes / documentation for successful onboarding and exit activities and for employees.
o Continually monitor and learn of all changes to/new laws and regulations applicable to our business. Prepare appropriate communications and training to ensure that Human Resources and business leadership are informed and able to apply appropriately.
o Prepare as needed reporting and documentation of employee relations activities and business issue trends to drive continuous improvement in building and maintaining a highly engaged work-force.
o Provide insight to business and HR leadership on dynamics and issues across multiple US sites to ensure appropriate site coordination and consistency.
o Provide direct supervision to small team of employee relations professionals.

Required Qualifications:
o B.S. Degree in Human Resources, Business, Engineering or related field.
o Minimum 10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
o Minimum 5 years' experience in human resources policy and program development.
o Minimum 5 years' experience in a business with significant non-exempt workforce
o Demonstrated experience in a position with significant interaction with executive level leadership; proven ability to lead and influence at high levels within the organization.
o Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
o Strong business acumen.
o Strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
o Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
o Demonstrated ability to network with various partners in a globally diverse environment.
o Excellent interpersonal skills.
o Demonstrated ability to operate successfully in highly unstructured environments.
