Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor

We are needing to provide an array of therapeutic services to youth in a school-based setting. This position requires excellent time management, attention to details and client management skills. Responsibilities
Exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing a small caseload of up to 6 students providing intensive school based services utilizing behavioral, solution focused interventions designed to improve school participation and facilitate progress academically.
Prepares a written treatment plan, incorporating input from clients, school personnel and involved service providers that clearly identifies problem areas and needs, strategies, and counseling objectives.
Provides direct counseling services to clients at school and in the community, including individual, family, and group. Specific group and psycho-educational activities may include such topics as anger management, substance abuse and life skills.
Provides on-site crisis/behavior intervention and responds to crisis situations with twenty-four hour availability outside of school hours.
Provides home and community visits to hold family sessions.
Participates in IEP meetings, Family Assessment and Planning Team meetings and other interdisciplinary, diagnostic, or planning meetings as necessary.
Collaborates and coordinates with school personnel on case specific behavior intervention and management plans.
Links clients with external programs or services, such as health services, recreational activities, self-help groups, transportation resources, and others.
Attends court hearings when families are court-involved and presents testimony and treatment recommendations as requested by attorneys, referral source, the court, or clients.
Prepares written Discharge Summary and plan.

Qualifications:
Qualified Mental Health Professional- Child (QMHP-C)
Bachelor's Degree in Human Service field
One year of full-time direct clinical experience with children / adolescents that have a mental health diagnosis
Valid Virginia driver's license with good driving record
Excellent documentation skills

Education:
-Bachelor's Degree in the human services field from an accredited college or universityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
