Our LA Technology group has an immediate need for a NodeJS Engineer in part to help adapt existing LAMP offerings to NodeJS. The ideal candidate will come from an object oriented development background and be a competent full-stack developer with demonstrated expertise with both LAMP and MEAN (or similar) stacks. Candidates should be results-oriented individuals who are able to work effectively and independently with limited supervision. This role will be split across supporting existing business applications and developing new solutions to replace these applications, as well as prototyping new capabilities for our products and services.
Responsibilities:
Take individual responsibility for the entire development cycle from requirements definition and design through coding, debugging, testing, deployments and final release.
Support existing (LAMP) applications as needed and provide solutions to supplement and replace these applications.
Demonstrate professional engineering practices including adherence to coding standards, producing design documentation, and supporting integration.
Required Skills
Node.JS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JSON, XML, Backbone.JS, AngularJS, Linux/RHEL
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 5 years of Software Development experience including LAMP and MEAN (or similar) stacks
Strong understanding of JavaScript and NodeJS internals
Deep understanding of JavaScript best-practices and security models
SQL & NoSQL (including mysql & mongodb) and strong data modeling skills
F/E build tools (grunt, gulp, compass/sass/less, etc.)
Preferred
Qualifications:
C++/Java
Experience developing with Qt and/or Webkit Embedded APIs
Sony is an Experience developing with Vagrant and/or provisioning environments with Puppet/Chef
Experience with PhantomsJS
Test-driven development, use of unit/functional testing and automation
Experience deploying scalable high-availability cloud-based applicationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
