Project Manager (metal fabrication)

BASIC FUNCTION:
Estimate job costs and prepare quotes. Maintain compliance with EPA and OSHA standards for environmental quality.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Estimate installations of equipment and services, to include reading, understanding and implementing customer specifications for various services and material. Estimate fabrication and equipment of various programs. Must be able to work with Engineers and Architects' drawings and blueprints to prepare a complete list of job costs, including labor, material, equipment and any specialty items necessary to complete the project. Must have a good knowledge of welding and fitting. Must have knowledge and experience with Piping Systems. Must be familiar with, and competent in, environmental management, to include maintaining compliance with EPA and OSHA standards. Must be familiar with Preventative Maintenance programs and troubleshooting. Must have good customer relations skills
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
Vice-President, Plant Operations
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Degree or certificate from a recognized technology center will be accepted.
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or a major in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology is preferred, or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
One to two years in a co-op or apprenticeship program in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology. Expertise in CAD, AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Microsoft software applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
TRAINING NEEDS: As deemed necessary to enhance the position and/or to become more effective.
Responsible Party: Human Resources ManagerEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
