Business Intelligence Developer / SQL Report Writer
The successful candidate for this position is proficient in Relational Database Systems, able to translate both verbal and written business user requests into accurate scheduled reports, demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding deadlines, is comfortable interacting with users from all levels of the company, has great communications skills and ability to set and meet clear, realistic commitments.
Key Job
Responsibilities:
oBuilds key analytic dash boarding reports for multiple levels of the organization.
oCreate, modify, and maintain operational reports for the various needs of the organization.
oDesign, develop and maintain report generation tools with varying delivery methods.
oUnderstand SQL queries, stored procedures, and DB programming methods.
oInvestigate and resolve query level problems using SQL knowledge and analytical skills.
oHandle multiple priorities and deadlines with independent judgment.
oProactively monitor and suggest improvements to the database environment for reporting.
oConform to processes and standards established by the DBA and IT development team.
oSupport the continuing enhancement of applications consuming data and reports.
Knowledge:
oReport writing experience with Crystal Reports, SSRS or other reporting service.
oUnderstanding of coding standards and best practices for SQL Server database platforms.
oDemonstrated experience with SQL Server, SSIS and industry ETL tools.
oExperience as report writer in multi-location, retail environment a strong plus.
oExperience with Crystal Reports Server and Crystal Reports Mobile is a strong plus.
oBasic knowledge of IIS and web design is a plus
oBachelor degree in information technology or other related field.

oExcellent verbal and written communication.
oWorks and communicates well in a team environment.
oAble to investigate and resolve complex issues a timely manner.
oAbility to work within standards established by the IT department.
oAbility to translate business discussions into requirements and subsequently deliver results.
oExperience with database performance and monitoring tools is a strong plus.
oStrong knowledge and ability of integrating data reporting with MS Office
oWork with teams, interact directly with users, and communicate with non-technical personnel.
oWorks well with little help and supervision.
