Security & Fire Alarm System Technicians reports to the Service Manager & Scheduling Coordinator and are primarily responsible for performing service/installation of access control, intrusion alarm, video surveillance systems, fire alarm and other various security related systems this will include pulling wire, installing conduit, hanging devices, programming panels, troubleshooting.
Additionally technicians are responsible for:

Evaluating, diagnosing, troubleshooting and performing repairs as necessary.
Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality utilization.
Preparing documentation in a variety of written and electronic formats (i.e. daily paperwork/log, time and materials, key inventory, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support in compliance with regulations and/or conveying information.
Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation and work orders including scope of work and determine if additional information is needed.
Available for scheduled on-call to respond to emergency service calls (evenings and weekends).
Planning wire runs to maximize time and material efficiency.
Performing fire alarm inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 guidelines.
Exhibit effective customer service skills by consistently communicating with office personnel, sales consultants and customers to ensure complete customer satisfaction experience.
Attending training classes when offered.
Following troubleshooting guidelines and referring to technical/parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. in order to diagnose & repair equipment or systems.
Completing monthly vehicle reports in a timely manner.
Maintaining accurate truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
Partnering with sales to grow and protect the service segment of our business.
Providing exceptional customer service.

Applicant MUST hold a current LEA or LEB License in the state of Oregon.
A minimum of two years of experience in in low voltage systems.
Strong work ethic and integrity.
Should be comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
Detail oriented and strong problem solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Neat, professional appearance.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Ability to stand for long periods of time on a ladder, lift over 70 lbs at times, crawl into small spaces, and work in all climates.
Windows based computer experience a plus.
A clean driver's license is required.
All employees are required to be drug tested, fingerprinted and must pass a background check.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
