We are looking for our next Sous chef for our luxury community in Carmichael. Oakmont is a premier resort style community that offers a variety of amenities and luxuries. With our on-site 5-star quality restaurants, and a team of award winning chefs, Oakmont has established itself as a 'cut-above' the rest in the culinary world. Our culinary program has been described as a Chef's playground; equipped with a state of the art kitchen, including a Wood-Fire pizza oven, a top of the line rotisserie machine, brand new equipment and much more! Our Chefs specialize in creating healthy signature dishes from local farm fresh ingredients. Our menus showcase our Chefs and their varied talents and skills. Our Chefs are well known in the culinary industry, as many have participated in or been featured in cooking competitions, cooking shows, cooking demonstrations on local television, magazines, newspaper articles, and much more.
Not only are we looking for someone to join our successful all-star team, but we are looking for someone with the creativity and ability to add to our long list of awards and achievements. We are looking for a strong leader, with fine-dining experience as a Sous Chef that can help maintain a productive, creative and efficient kitchen. This person must have passion, drive and motivation and must also have an outgoing and positive personality and leadership style.
Miscellaneous:
Able to read, write and speak the English language and to interact and communicate effectively with all individuals.
Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
Able to obtain and maintain valid ServSafe Manager's Certificate
Be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job. Good physical health, verified by a health screening, and physical
Must pass criminal background check
