Summary
This position will be responsible for reporting requests from the business, client services, data services, and other departments as they are requested. Requests can range from simple Excel reporting to needing to leverage internally developed applications, SSRS, and at times SSIS in order to complete the task.
This position requires someone who can work well in a fast paced environment and still maintain good organization, communication and critical thinking. A strong understanding of general data principals, databases, reporting is necessary for this position.
Responsibilities
Analyze reporting requirements from the client/business through the Client Services Project Management Team and be able to work with the requester or other resource(s) to understand those requirements fully
At times manually manipulate small sets of data in Excel
Communicate effectively on a daily basis to the Project Management team, Data Services developers and Data Services management
Qualifications Required
1
years of experience in intermediate TSQL coding / data mining
2
years working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong understanding of data principals, reporting and databases
Strong work ethic and strong analytical, communication and verbal and written skills with a strong customer service focus
Understanding of development methodology and lifecycle
Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to approach a problem logically and systematically
Ability to express complex technical and abstract concepts effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with all levels of managers and end-users in the organization
Ability to change planned direction on the fly and instantly re-calculate deliverable schedules and resourcing
Qualifications Preferred
1-2
years of experience in SSRS
Knowledge of SSIS
