Summary:
At the direction of a licensed physician, the Respiratory Therapist assumes primary responsibility for the assessment, treatment and care and education for patients with cardiopulmonary related disorders. The Respiratory Therapist administers respiratory therapy modalities and performs cardiac testing, electroencephalogram and sleep studies in accordance with the Respiratory Therapist scope of care as defined by New York State Education Law, Title VIII, Article 164, regulatory agency standards and organization policy and procedure. Every other weekend, every other holiday required.
Education /Licensure/Certification
Requirements:
Associates of Science in Respiratory Therapy required. Current and unrestricted New York State license as a Respiratory Therapist required. BLS required. One year of post-licensure practice as a Respiratory Therapist within an acute care facility preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
