Job Responsibilities
As a Senior Laboratory Chemist, you will work in an individualized and/or team environment to test finished products (tablets, capsules, suspensions, gels, devices, and other novel dosage forms) using a variety of analytical methodology. Testing includes potency, purity, physical characteristics,and other properties. The majority of testing involves HPLC analysis, but use of other instrumentation is required.
Additional responsibilities of the Senior Laboratory Chemist include:
o Perform HPLC, IC, GC, and dissolution for method transfers/validation/routine and non routine testing
o Execute specialized analyses and method transfer and feasibility testing
o Perform technical writing
o Train staff and be accountable for leading specific project/test areas
o Initiate and perform laboratory investigations; evaluate and trend sample data; interpret data
o Inform clients of project status continually
o Serve as an equipment system administrator
o Some travel to client sites for technical meetings could be required

Job Requirements
o At least eight years of pharmaceutical chemistry experience
o Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
o Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
