Job Description:
Located in Brookville Ohio; Flow Dry is a leader in Automotive A/C Drying Applications, Pharmaceutical & Nutraceutical Adsorbents as well as High Performance Gaskets and Die Cut Products.
The Senior Development Engineer reports to the VP of Engineering and works directly with External Customers, Sales and Operations to develop new products, processes and equipment for Flow-Dry's Desiccant and Specialty Die Cut products. Multiple development projects will be managed through the Stage-Gate process to provide new products and processes to industry.
DUTIES:
o Work with External Customers, Sales, Customer Service and Operations to be a technical interface, understand and define customer needs, evaluate process capability requirements, prepare cost workup and respond with timely follow-up communication.
o Provide options and solutions, coordinate quotations and manage development projects using the 3/5 Stage-Gate Development process.
o Create and modify 3D CAD models of products, tooling and equipment in Autodesk Inventor Professional.
o Produce Rapid Prototypes with 3D scanning and printing.
o Manage current and future designs and patents utilizing Autodesk Vault document control software.
o Continuously research and utilize new products and process technologies to generate innovative designs.
o Complete AQP documentation for new and existing products and process changes.
REQUIREMENTS:
o BSME - 4 year engineering degree from ABET Accredited University.
o Minimum 5 years' experience in design and development of products and equipment.
o Proficient Autodesk 3D CAD software: Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault.
o Knowledge of Automotive TS-16949, ISO-9001, CGMP is a plus
o Advanced Manufacturing experience is a plus; LEAN Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5-S, 6-Sigma, TQM etc.
o Knowledgeable in Automotive product development is a plus.
o Air conditioning AC/HVAC Systems is a plus.
