Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve throughput, inventory and operating expenses. Supports new products, processes and tooling. Manages and coordinates activities of the department to produce, improve, test components, equipment and processes. Ensures that the Engineering department is properly responding to Customer quote requests with regard to components (finished goods and materials), processes, and tooling. Ensures that the manufacturing facility is focusing on cost reduction activities through processes, parts and material optimizations. Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Confers with planning, corporate engineering and the design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Establish work measurement programs and analyze data for the development of standards and labor utilization. Exam specific work areas and make recommendations for improvements in throughput, inventory and operating expense. Directs and guides manufacturing methods by the use of throughput, inventory, and operating expense as the method of operation. Adhere to applicable QS9000 and TS 16949 requirements.
Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing required. Salary for this positon is $85,000 to $100, 000.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
