Annapolis, MD based information technology consultancy, actively seeking qualified candidates to fill a Systems Engineer/Project Lead position.
JOB
Summary:
This position will be responsible for many aspects of client network administration including servers, desktop systems, switches, routers, and PBX/telecommunications systems. Additional responsibilities will include leading projects and ensuring that trouble tickets are addressed in a timely fashion.
ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:
This position reports to the President and will interface with executive staff, all internal and remote employees, including current client(s).
SKILLS, ROLES &
Responsibilities:
Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012 (All Flavors and Editions)
Functional and Advanced Knowledge of:
o Server Hardware/Equipment
o Storage systems such as: SAN, NAS, DAS
o Storage topologies such as: SCSI, SAS, SATA, FC, Nearline
o Storage configurations such as: RAID 1, 5, 6 & 10, JBOD, DFS
o Active Directory
o Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003/2007/2010/2013
o TCP/IP protocols: DHCP, DNS, LDAP, SSL, TLS, SMTP,
o Desktop & Workgroup Printing Environments
o Routers, Firewalls, Switches & Wireless LAN Controller(s)
Demonstrated ability and knowledge of:
o Windows servers.
o Remote access for users.
o Administration of a 20
node network including firewalls.
o Networked printers and photocopiers.
o Current and relevant communications devices, protocols, and server/desktop technologies.
Supports software and applications (Office 2003/2007/2010/2013, MS SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, Windows IIS 6.0/7.0/7.5).
Performs technology needs analysis & assists clients with equipment purchasing processes.
Assists to roll out new hardware and software to clients.
Assists to plan, implement, and support the client networks and client computing infrastructure plans.
Oversees projects according to budget and schedules.
Provides assistance with technology planning through ongoing research.
Ability to oversee multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously.
Facilitation and change management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelors Degree; Candidate can supplement degree requirement with one or more industry recognized certifications, (i.e. Cisco, Citrix, Sonicwall, VMWare, Microsoft, or CompTia), plus 6 years of functional and verifiable work experience.
Experience:
6 years and currently working as an administrator/engineer on a small to medium sized network of servers and desktop systems.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
