Production Associate
Requirements
Occasional lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 40 pounds
Standing and/or walking up to 10-12 hours a day, depending on work assignment
Sitting for long periods of time, depending on work assignment
Operating lift trucks
Using hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling, data entry
Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting and reaching
May at times need to be able to lift 20-25 pounds above shoulder level
Work 12 hour rotating shifts with required overtime
Work around fast operating machinery
Work in environments 2-3 hours where temperatures approach 100; and 20 minutes where temperatures reach 115
Work outside in winter temperatures for up to 1-2 hours
Work in tight and/or confined areas awkward positions
Work in stressful situations that have heavy responsibility
Respond to audible alarms, signals, pages and oral communication
Observe and assess visual defects in products, processes or machinery
Be available to travel for business needs on overnight trips and at times alone or with a mixed group
Must be able to wear required PPE's including eye protection, foot protection (Steel toe shoes), hearing and respiratory protection. Must be able to work safely and encourage others to do the same
Must be able to manage yourself to mill and team standards
Must be able to comprehend principles of operation of various manufacturing processes
Must be able to recognize and troubleshoot both individually and as a team member manufacturing processes and equipment
Must be able to communicate effectively both written and oral
Must be able to provide feedback to others and receive feedback on self as it relates to performance issues
Qualifications
Two years of relevant work experience or equivalent post high school vocational training or equivalent military experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass technical and social skills battery
Ability to perform job duties requiring physical and mental fitness
Required to work 12 hour rotating schedule to include holidays and weekends occurring in the shift rotation
Ability to work in a tobacco-free environment for their assigned shift
Legal Right to work in the United States without sponsorship or restrictions, on an ongoing indefinite basisEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
