MAINTENANCE MECHANIC PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to work in our Victor NY facility. This position will complement an existing maintenance/production team comprised of other skilled and experienced team members.
o Troubleshoot and repair of equipment requiring knowledge of:
mechanics, electrical, controls, pneumatics, hydraulics etc.
o Interpret blueprints or engineering specifications for installation, operation, and repair of equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated manufacturing equipment
o Provide technical support and training to Mechanics and Technicians as needed
o Diagnose and analyze difficult operating malfunctions and to affect major, extensive or emergency repairs and maintain equipment is such a manner as to minimize unnecessary down time.
o Assist in setting up predictive and preventative maintenance programs and performs timely equipment inspections to insure proper operation and safety compliance of manufacturing equipment.
o To repair, fabricate and install equipment using electrical, and machine shop tools
o To notify Group Leader or Supervisor of safety related problems or issues.
o Prepare maintenance and repair ledgers and otherwise keep the manufacturing and engineering departments informed on activities, equipment performance, project status, etc.
o To maintain and place requisitions for equipment, parts and supply inventories using Computerized Maintenance Management System.
o To clean and maintain a secure and safe work environment.
Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements
o Minimum of 7 years of experience in /industrial electrical-mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting
o Experience with repair of equipment including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated manufacturing equipment.
o Understand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications
o Experience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipment
o Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
o Must be able to work independentlyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
