Cable Tehcnician
We are currently looking for Cable Technicians with Wireless Access Point (WAP) experience for a contract position.
Qualified Cable Technicians will have the following
Experience:
Wireless Access Point (WAP), wireless router, Indoor Antenna, outdoor Point-to-Point install experience
Experience working Structured Cabling projects with multiple drops
Experience working New Construction and Upgrade/Renovation and Low Voltage projects.
Installing Support Structures (Racks, Ladder racks, J-Hooks)
Understanding of WiFi technology. IP internetworking, particularly expertise in TCP/IP protocol suite and Ethernet/802.3, Wi-Fi 802.11
Testing/Troubleshooting network issues (Connectivity, other Low Voltage Cable associated issues)
Terminating Cat 5/5e/6/7 Voice Data Cable into: Jacks, 66-110 Blocks, and Patch Panels.
Dressing Communication Closets/IDF's
Experience with Pulling, Terminating, and Testing of Cat5/6 is required
Experienced in grounding and bonding, machine labeling, coring, and bending of conduit/EMT is required
OSP experience is desired
