Chef de Cuisine

The Jupiter Island Club, a platinum level private member owned country club established in 1933 and located on the Treasure Coast of Florida in Hobe Sound has a year round/full time position open for a Chef de Cuisine. There are a variety of venues from sophisticated fine dining, banquet events, casual dining and snack bars.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to overseeing commissary cooking and logistics operations, managing an efficient kitchen staff, managing inventory of food and kitchen supplies, delivery scheduling, ordering, developing kid friendly recipes and implementing policies and procedures. Of the utmost importance for the chef is the ability to creatively solve problems in a fluid environment. The right candidate will share our passion.
Qualifications:
Culinary degree minimum 5 years culinary experience. Ability to create and maintain seasonal vegetable side dishes. Experience developing recipes. Ability to coordinate staff and resources in a high volume, time sensitive environment.
Competitive salary and excellent benefit package. Currently the Club offers comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (less employee contribution), term life insurance, short & long term disability insurance. After 1 year a 401k plan with a 100% match up to 4.5% of salary. Other benefits such as vacation, personal time, holiday pay and the potential for a year end bonus based on performance. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
