CAD Drafter

SBA, a Culver City-based firm, is currently seeking to fill this short-term position to assist in the design and documentation of commercial and retail projects. We are searching for creative, enthusiastic, and conscientious individuals with technical acumen to join our team as soon as possible.
Qualified applicants will possess a minimum of three (3) years experience in an Architectural environment focusing on commercial and retail building, have had CADD training, and possess the apposite certifications. Recent graduates from accredited five (5) year programs (BArch) will also be considered.
Other necessary skills include the ability to:
o Prepare and modify drawings; re-drawing systems, components, and parts; changing identifications;
o Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information;
o Maintain CADD Library by entering data; and,
o Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Additional requirements for successful candidates also include:
o Proficiency in AutoCAD 2013 (or later);
o Must be organized and detail oriented;
o Ability to work in a team environment;
o Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
o Practical experience and good communication skills are a strong advantage; and,
o Dedication to exceptional quality design and service.

o Internet Explorer or other browser
o Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
o Adobe Photoshop
o Kimble SketchUp
o Adobe Acrobat

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
