Martz Trailways is currently seeking a Full Time Diesel Mechanic with experience working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have Heavy Equipment/Bus/Diesel experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
CDL and Inspection certification required.
The position includes, but is not limited to the following:
Perform routine repairs, cleaning, lubrication, adjustments and proper maintenance of equipment
Perform brake jobs, chassis work, air system repairs and conduct minor and major inspections
Handle equipment related road calls; to extent possible assist operator in diagnosing problem and provide recommendations for repairs or referrals to repair facility as appropriate. May be required to drive replacement vehicle to operator (requires valid CDL)
Document on repair orders all work performed and parts used to repair any company or outside vehicle
Check daily driver vehicle inspection defects and repair as necessary to conform with all D.O.T. rules and regulations.
In return, Martz Trailways offers a competitive salary, healthcare, Short Term Disability, Life Insurance, and other benefits. Starting rate ranges from $18.87 to $25.41 per hour depending on experience (additional $1.00/hr for 3rd shift). Proud to be an EOE.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
