Senior IT Auditor
$3B SEC Food Manufacturer
This position will conduct IT, financial, and operational internal audits throughout the corporation, working independently or as part of a team to provide assurance to management and the Audit Committee that internal controls are in place and working effectively, and to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and enhance business processes. Participate in projects associated with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).
Responsibilities:
Executes IT audits, integrated audits and financial/operational audits. Develops risk based audit plans and presents the audit plans to management. Coordinates audit activities with management prior to and during the audit. Develops audit work papers to document testing procedures and findings. Identifies control issues, process inefficiencies or operational risks. Makes recommendations to improve controls, enhance business processes and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. Presents findings to management in writing (audit reports) and verbally. Follows up with management on open issues.- Conducts IT and Business Process SOX projects including:
documenting key processes and controls over financial reporting; evaluates the design and tests the operating effectiveness of key controls; documents in work papers; reports findings to management verbally and in writing. Follows up with management on remediation.- Assists in the completion of projects assigned by management and the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.- Assists in performing Risk Assessments and developing the IT Audit plan
Skills- Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, auditing techniques, internal auditing standards and COSO- Understands internal control concepts and has experience in applying them to plan and perform audits, reports findings, and execute SOX projects- Strong knowledge of IT audit
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
