Auditing Manager - Accountant (CPA)
We are seeking an audit manager with 6-7 years of audit experience that includes governmental audit and accounting and/or not-for-profit audit and accounting experience. Our next team member must be energetic, outgoing and organized - an individual who can work independently and complete their projects in a timely manner. Clients are located in Maryland and Pennsylvania, but we are flexible as to your office location placement.
A successful candidate for this team position must have their CPA License, the following minimum abilities, and be able to assume full responsibility for managing and timely completion of engagements or special assignments:
Manage multiple clients on a concurrent basis both from the office and in the field
Conduct and successfully complete field work in all audit areas
Complete governmental and/or not-for-profit audit planning documentation
Conduct audit team planning meetings and interface with clients to conduct a successful audit
Coordinate all phases of an engagement, including staffing requirements and related scheduling
Prepare and implement audit time budgets
Assign work to team members on the basis of their knowledge and capabilities; supervise their work
Study and evaluate a client's system of internal control
Provide training to other team members and provide them with constructive feedback
Identify and review significant audit findings that raise questions involving accounting principles and or financial statement concerns; review with Managers, Principals and clients
Review compiled, reviewed, and audited financial statements including notes, schedules, management letters and other general correspondence
Other areas of expertise that would be beneficial to a candidate:
Knowledge of IDEA software
Knowledge of Caseware
Single audit and employee benefit plan experience
