Software Engineer

Responsible for software design (from draft to test and final implementation) for HVAC control units (embedded systems and PC) according to CMM and CMMI specifications; Responsible for developing diagnostic modules according to ISO 9141 specifications and SAE-J1939; Analyze customer requirements, writing software requirements, system requirements and review these with customers using DOORS software; Develop software specifications together with customer; Program software modules using Assembler, Visual Basic, C programming, and C+
programming languages; Design and implement Matlab models and generate source code with Targetlink; Collaborate closely with hardware design, test, and manufacturing personnel; Utilize, program, and understand CANoe and CANape Vector tools in order to analyze and calibrate HVAC systems; Conduct road and wind tunnel tests with automotive and heavy truck customers, as necessary; Represent project team in customer meetings while on business trips; Provide engineering software support during acquisition of new projects; Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings during development of product from concept to production in efficient and timely manner; Collaborate with software testing group to give prompt feedback on software issues; Responsible for integrating and releasing of embedded software code; Field troubleshooting of software issues on vehicles; Responsible for fabrication specifications of load equipment, including assistance on HIL development; Responsible for making software timing plans.

Education: Bachelors Degree Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree).
Training: None
Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, HVAC Software Engineer, or in a related occupation.
Experience must include knowledge of or work with CANoe, CANape, CMMI, DOORS software, C programming, C+
programming, SAE-J1939, Matlab, and Targetlink.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
