Monitor Technician
DEFINITION:
The Monitor Tech is responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms of patients on telemetric equipment.
Interprets basic cardiac rhythms, common dysrhythmia and monitor mechanical malfunctions.
KNOWLEDGE:
High School diploma or GED certificate required SKILLS:
EKG Certification
Experience:
EKG Certification with 1 year experience preferred LICENSE:
Current CPR/BLS certification required Passing score on the basic dysrhythmia competency test.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
