Billing Specialist

A fast growing New Hampshire retail energy company is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a unique entry level position within their billing department. This is a full time hourly position offering insight into billing within the electricity and natural gas market of New England. It will require working extensively with Excel, Quick-Books, and other quantitative based processes on a daily basis to prepare invoices and present information to clients.

Job Description:
Work extensively with Excel to prepare invoices, track savings, and build spreadsheets
Track invoices in both Excel and QuickBooks
Upkeep filings and paperwork for clients
Answer inbound calls from clients with questions in regards to electric and natural gas billing issues
Learn to work with ISO-NE on the settlement process and the proper allocation of charges / credits
Prepare filings for Public Utilities Commissions of New England, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Energy Information Administration

Qualifications:
Recent background in billing or equivalent experience preferred
Education in Business/Accounting or related field preferred
Proficient in Microsoft office with a heavy emphasis in Excel & Access
Customer service oriented
Extreme attention to details a must
Must enjoy working with numbers
Experience with QuickBooks a plus
Experience in the energy business a plus

Other Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
General administrative duties
Miscellaneous research into data, utilities, and savings analysis

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
