Certified Manufacturing Welding
Our client located in Uniontown, Ohio is currently seeking the perfect individual to fill their current opening for a WELDER. This individual would be proficient in a manufacturing welding position.
Hours: Training on 1st then moving to 3rd Monday-Friday
Compensation: $15.00-18.00
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
o Employee may be asked to perform internal audits as an Auditor.
o May be designated to aid in the development of welding technique cards, weld maps and any other submittals required by customer specification in the welding process area. Will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager in this area.
o Perform dimensional inspection using both fixtures and measuring devices.
o Read and understand shop orders.
o Must be certified to weld industry standards AMS 2694 and ASTM A488/A488M, ASME Section IX, BAC 5975 and some customer specifications. Will be working toward certification to Mil-STD-1595, AMS-STD-1595 and remaining customer specifications. Once obtained, certifications shall be maintained. In the event the work is not available to maintain a certification, the person shall re-certify at the next available opportunity.
o This hourly position may require some overtime during the week and occasionally on weekends in order to meet Manufacturing and Customer needs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
o High school diploma or equivalent, i.e. GED, or work experience may be used in lieu of this.
o Computer literate; knowledge of Excel, Word and Access is helpful but not required.
o Ability to read a drawing, understand geometric tolerance on drawings and drawing notes is required.
o Must be knowledgeable in casting defects.
o Must currently hold and maintain weld inspector's certification.
Requirements:
Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
Must pass drug screen
Must have clean criminal record (NO felonies in the past 7 years, NO misdemeanors in the last year)
