Position
Summary:
This position supports the Shift/Area Supervisors in determining work distribution and responsibilities for material handlers.
This incumbent would also assist in the training, directing, and motivating of material handlers.
The incumbent would also take an active part in order selection, receiving, and stocking.
This position may also assume the role of Area/Shift supervisor in his/her absence.
Responsibilities:
Administration - 25% Daily responsibilitiesDetermines the distribution and coordination of workload for material handlers with the support of appropriate supervisors.
Assigns proper number of material handlers to receiving, warehousing, order filling, and shipping functions.
Trains new material handlers in proper order selecting, receiving, and stocking procedures.
Mentors new teammates during probationary/training period.
Advises appropriate supervisors regarding the progression of new teammates abilities.
Resolves minor concerns/issues and refers others to appropriate supervisors.
Recommends disciplinary action appropriate for material handlers.
Communicates and enforces company and departmental policies and procedures.
Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing - 65% Daily responsibilitiesReceives work schedule from appropriate supervisors, directs, motivates material handles in carrying out shipping and receiving schedules.
Participates or provides input regarding the scheduled use of equipment to obtain maximum productivity.
Ensures proper use of equipment by material handlers.
Monitors the security program by ensuring constant presence on shipping floor at all times.
Checks trailers to ensure all units are loaded and/or unloaded.
Monitors progress and accuracy of the order selection, receiving, and stocking process.
Operates power equipment in the execution of duties.
Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
Checks completed orders, prepares bill of lading, and checks shipments to carriers.
Coaches material handler in order selection process to meet daily schedule.
Records container numbers and seal numbers.
Supervises the maintenance and safe operation of power equipment.
Supervises the process for will call orders.
Supervises the tire bundling and branding processes.
Monitors and maintains 3S activities.
Analysis and monitoring of all appropriate records, reports, and data assigned.
Special Projects - 10% Daily responsibilitiesParticipates and assists with periodic physical inventories.
Supervises special programs such as realignment of warehouse and tire returns.
Responsible for action items on the Safety IIP's.
Manages record keeping area for orderly storage and records retention.
Lead continual improvement activities as assigned.
Other job duties as assigned by management.
Work Environment and Occupational Demands:
The incumbent will spend the majority of his/her time on the warehouse floor in a very fast paced environment.
The incumbent will have extensive interaction and involvement with customers, teammates, contractors, and non-Bridgestone teammates.
The incumbent will also be involved with the implementation of safety procedures.
Long hours may be required given the undefined daily workload.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements Three years of general warehouse, logistics, or related experience.
Good attendance record.
Must not be on Progressive Discipline.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
