The Director, Worldwide Institutional Marketing/Market access is a business partner and leader who will collaborate with key markets and regional strategic and HEMA teams to identify incremental Institution, payer & channel growth strategies to protect in-market product funding and ensure optimal funding and coverage for future products. Incumbent will identify the emerging trends in payers & channels in key markets and position diabetes solutions companies for growth. Shape and lead the Institution, payer & channel account/govt/competitor messaging. Develop payer value dossiers and payer toolboxes for in-market and NPL. Successful candidate will work with WW market access director and CMO to shape and lead key innovation projects for payer & channel POA direction to drive payer strategy execution. The Director, Worldwide Institutional Marketing will lead and coordinate health economics data and payer projects to maximize in-market utility and global applicability and create data for payer. This individual will also work in collaboration with medical affairs to shape evidence generation strategy to support payer needs/communication. Successful candidate will exhibit a global mindset in all activities, preferably drawing on multi-market or international experience. The Director, Worldwide Institutional Marketing will independently develop and manage significant cross-functional relationships. Key interdependent partnering relationships will exist with each regional strategic affairs team EMEA, APAC, and Americas, other inter-related franchise marketing teams-eg Pricing, Analytics, HCP comms, Medical, Clinical, and professional education. External relationships will likely include key agency vendors where relevant, International KOLs, key internationally significant retail accounts, payers (national or commercial), government and/or subject matter experts such as academic resources and consultants.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of prior experience in market access and strategic affairs in multiple markets is preferred. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or medical device payer environment required. Experience with global healthcare systems, payer/reimbursement, leading multinational teams are required. Proven track record in developing payer strategies tactics and communication tools as well as being a strong cross-functional player is required. Up to 40% domestic and international travel is required. 7
years of people management experience is preferred. Developing and managing relationships with key medical opinion leaders is required. Developing and executing of marketing and selling strategies to payers is required. Experience managing joint working initiatives with payers to demonstrate improved cost benefits is preferred. Creation of clear marketing requirements documents and lifecycle plans is preferred. Strong presentation and communications skills are required. Demonstrated success at leading, interdependent partnering and management of cross-functional teams, demonstrated ability to work cross-culturally and influence/inspire people without daily face-to-face interactions.
Education
Post graduate degree (Masters) preferred, MBA preferred.
