Post Harvest Coordinator

Overview
Responsible for implementing, managing, monitoring and verifying food quality and safety in accordance with the Company, Customer, Federal and State protocols and standards.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Responsible for maintaining and implementing in plant Quality Testing Programs
o Responsible for maintaining and implementing Food Safety practices and ensure compliance with Federal, State, Company and customer policies and standards
o Develop and enforce plant quality standards; directly supervise QA employees and ensure company employees are in compliance
o Act as a liaison with federal and state agencies to ensure plant compliance with regulatory issues
o Act as a liaison for customer and third party audits, ensure ability to respond to audit at all times
o Monitor, enforce and further develop plant HACCP program
o Provide HACCP, Quality and consumer complaint reports to management
o Oversee plant quality/GMP training
o Be prepared for product recall if necessary
o Assure that all products developed meet in house as well as legal compliance standards
o Evaluate raw material vendor/supplier food safety programs (GAPs)
o Evaluate programs in place and make suggestions and take action for improvement if necessary
o Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree in Food Science, biology or related studies.
o Candidate must have a minimum of 2-5 years related Food Science experience or Quality Assurance management experience in food manufacturing or fresh fruit and vegetable products environment. (Experience in the Citrus industry a plus)
o Strong comprehension of GMPs, HACCP, and Federal food regulations
o Strong computer/statistical and analytical skills, particularly as related to data collection, manipulation and reporting
o Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
o Competency with computer word processing, spreadsheet and database software Knowledge of TQM helpful
o Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
o Must have the ability to make decisions, maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.
o Must be a self-starter or work independently with little to no guidance

May include lifting up to 25 pounds for files, computer printouts on occasion.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
