Network Systems Engineer


General Summary of Duties
The Systems Network Engineer is responsible for supporting all technology, documentation and administrative needs including installations, maintenance, and support of all software and hardware used. They take part in the management and monitoring of firewalls, switches, servers, storage, workstations, website, and related systems for performance and reliability.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
o Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
o Understanding of Cisco Networking (Routers, Switches, VPNs, LANs, VLANs, firewalls and network storage)
o Knowledge of Backup Exec software and hardware
o Knowledge of MS Office and standard office software needs
o Ability to support hardware and software related to printers, copiers, faxes, scanners
o Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex hardware and software issues in a proficient and positive manor
o Ability to monitor systems and network and be proactive in issue recognition and resolution, Backup's and replication, and Phone system support (Avaya telephony)
o Strong technical and analytical skills
o Strong verbal and written communication skills
o Highly organized, able to multi-task, with the ability to work individually, within a team, and with other groups
o Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across the organization and interact effectively at all levels of management and peers
o Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and work on his/her feet for long periods of time, when necessary
Experience:
At least five years of work experience in a Windows/AD /Cisco environment providing systems and user support.
Description of Working Environment:
Ours is a team that is a top to bottom system and helpdesk service. We have interaction with a variety of end users and must be able to effectively communicate to their level. The standard hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional off-hours work is required as well as on-call support.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
