Methuen Construction is currently seeking experienced Project Managers to join our team and to work on some of the most unique, challenging, and complex projects in the Northeast.
Summary of Job Requirements:
o Review and modify original job budget established by the Estimating Department.
o Review budget with Job Superintendent and Executive Project Director for input and revisions
o Develop a preliminary job schedule for the project
o Review schedule with Superintendent, Executive Project Director and VP Operations for input and revisions.
o Update job schedule at least once per month with input from Superintendent.
o Review construction means and methods with Superintendent to improve job performance.
o Purchase major equipment and material.
o Negotiate major subcontractor agreements for the project.
o Monitor the submittal, shop drawing, and purchase order process to insure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
o Manage execution of contracts, bonds, insurance certificates, contract compliance, etc.
o Manage preparation of extra work proposals and major change orders.
o Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports and job progress and review with Superintendent on a weekly basis.
o Visit jobs on a regular basis to review effectiveness of site supervision, job progress, quality of work and safety on the job.
o Manage change orders, extra work orders, disputed claims, with owner and owner's representative to a successful conclusion.
o Resolve major disputes with vendors and subcontractors.
o Process payment requisitions through the owner and his representative.
o Mentor the development of job Superintendents and provide feedback on performance.
o Keep the Senior Management staff of the Company apprised of job performance and any major conflicts or issues to be resolved.
o Monitor the planning for on the job safety, application of safety rules, regulations, and programs applicable to individual job sites.
o Maintain a positive image of the Company with vendors, subs, clients and teammates.
o Manage multiple jobs that may account for $14M to 23M in annual volume.
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
o 10 - 15 years of experience
o Excellent oral and written communications skills
o Proficient in MS Office Tools
o Proficient in project scheduling
o Proven experience with construction management
o Self-motivated, highly organized and team oriented
o Must be attentive to detail
o Possess strong communication and negotiation skills
o Mentoring and training skills
o Strong client relationship building skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
