Daily Equipment Company in Jackson, MS is hiring for our Parts Counter Clerk position.
The Parts Counter Clerk sells parts to both our external and internal customers. Checks field and shop repair work orders for parts billed and charges out necessary parts on work orders. Assists Parts Management when required to ensure monthly, quarterly and yearly inventory accuracy and timely delivery of parts to OEM/Contract maintainers.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
REQUIRED:
o High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, catalogs, computer displays, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in order to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
o Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees.
o Knowledge of automated equipment such as computer terminals, bar code wands, and laser scanning equipment used to read, store, and query, route, and track data.
o Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
o Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
o Ability to load, unload, and move materials within or near storage areas and work sites that are in close proximity to operational areas.
o Flexible team player
o Possess and maintain a valid Mississippi driver's license
DESIRED:
o Parts experience minimum 2 Years
o Forklift Driver Certification (Required after 90 Days)

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Next to each duty or responsibility, indicate the approximate percentage of time spent performing each duty. These percentages should total 100%. The three levels represent the level in the position. In addition to the duties listed below, employees may be assigned and required to perform other duties.
Essential Function Percent of Time
1. Receive and fill telephone orders for parts. Invoice parts on field, shop and used equipment work orders daily. 45%
2. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, customers' descriptions of malfunctions or work orders. File back-up paperwork for work orders daily. 10%
3. Issue parts, tools, and equipment, update tool usage logs, record parts and tools upon receipt, and stock them onto storage shelves. Examine returned parts for defects, and exchange defective parts or refund money. 10%
4. Advice customers on substitution or modification of parts when identical replacements are not available. 10%
5. Coordinate, move, load, unload, stack and breakdown various bin, intermediate, bulk, hazardous stock and equipment. Receive, store, and ship various stock in accordance with established procedures. 5%

Notify Management or inventory control of discrepancies discovered during the normal flow of business 10%
7. Participate in cycle counting and annual physical inventory in both the warehouse and vans. 10%

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
