JOB SUMMARY
Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License. Perform construction related duties through the use of heavy equipment, according to priorities and schedules provided by job coordinators. Install power poles and associated hardware and lift and install skid based products through use of a crane.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply, enforce, and participate in formulating and administering BlackHawk Datacom's safety policies.
Safely drive and operate heavy truck with trailers including oversize loads.
Safely operate digger derrick trucks including crane operation.
Actively supervise and lead other team members in the interest of safely completing installation projects.
Connection of electrical sub systems used in the suite of products.
Provide input in scheduling and manage projects that involve the use of heavy equipment.
Develop and enforce policy and compliance, quality control, cost reduction, safety procedures, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and operations performance measures in construction operations.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain equipment in a manner that allows the company to work safely and maintain installation schedules.
Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise construction team members. Other responsibilities include training employees and assisting management in the development of the team through recruitment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
The Construction Team Leader must reside within 25 miles of assigned work location. To perform this job successfully, the Construction Team Leader must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, REQUIRED ABILITIES, AND PREFERENCES
Clas A CDL with air brake endorsement
Experience hauling oversized loads.
Backhoe operation
Digger derrick truck operation
Skid Steer operation including auger and other attachments.
Power pole installation
Basic computer operating skills and proficient use of Office Suite applications.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in operating heavy equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man lifts, digger/derrick trucks, back hoes, cranes and excavators.
A minimum of two (2) years experience as supervisor of construction crews in oilfield environment.
A minimum of two (2) years experience in managing construction projects.
Thorough knowledge in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment
Heavy truck operation certification or similar certification.
Thorough knowledge of regulations and safety aspects of operating heavy equipment in and around hazardous areas.
LANGUAGE AND WRITING SKILLS
Communicate effectively through the use of verbal, written, and application-based means, such as create, read, analyze, and interpret site surveys, technical procedures, and government regulations; prepare reports; respond to inquiries from managers, clients, customers, and the general public; create procedure manuals; and productively present information.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Calculate distances, interpret tape measures, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
REASONING ABILITY
Evaluate and solve practical problems; manage a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, and/or schedule forms.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Must possess a valid class A driver's license, including air brake endorsement, and a clear driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential duties of this position. The physical demands of this position may be periodically strenuous.
Frequent prolonged standing.
Frequent use of hands for controlling equipment and lifting.
Frequent use of mouth and ears for speaking and hearing/listening.
Frequent use of arms for reaching.
Occasional walking, climbing, and balancing.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Regular lifting or moving objects up to 30 pounds and frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, hourly position with a minimum work expectation of 40 hours per week.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, inclement weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The work environment may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), as per OSHA Regulations.

At all times, the employee is responsible of following all safety rules and regulations set by BlackHawk Datacom, their customers, and federal, state and local governments. The employee must be knowledgeable of OSHA Regulations and the requirements set forth by OSHA, the EPA, and the company on necessary and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Additionally, as a Manager of Blackhawk Operations, the employee is required to operate as the safety lead to his direct reports by holding regularly scheduled safety meetings and taking responsibility for their safety.
