PURPOSE
To support outside sales personnel in multiple aspects defined below
DUTIES:
Attends any required, approved, training classes that pertain to this job description including. Training may be at the Econolite headquarters, or another Econolite facility, web-based, conducted by an industry trade association (such as ITE or IMSA), or provided by a licensed third party. Training may include information on Econolite or partner products, and Econolite business processes. Knowledge of all ECPI products lines is required to properly fulfill this position.
Answers and screens incoming phone calls for the office related to support and bid inquiries. Applies judgment and guidance from management to establish customer need, priority, and proper routing. Customers should be called back the same day.
Directs or schedules technical personnel to respond to customer calls for support, including but not limited to technical problems with products, field modifications, service visits, or field turn-ons. When technical support is required, notifies the appropriate account manager of the customer call.
Follows up with customers after technical service call to ensure customer satisfaction and a successful outcome.
Interprets customer requirements as provided by Account Managers or as described in written plans or specifications in order to develop price quotations; applies judgment to determine appropriate product, price-book, and discount based on the end-customer and channel to market.
Reviews plans and specifications to generate quotes for all contractor and Agency bids in assigned territory. Discounts from list price or gross margin percentages (GM's) shall be per ECPI standard policies or approved by Regional or District Managers. Proper margins must be maintained at all times. Intimate knowledge of all ECPI price lists and pricing procedures is required.
Ensures price quotes fully comply with Econolite pricing policies. Escalates exceptions to management for approval.
Revises quotes as necessary to meet customer requests or project changes.
Develops price and cost estimates for management as requested; exercises discretion and judgment to safeguard sensitive information.
Accumulates, evaluates, reviews, and updates filing system and procedures to maintain current estimating standards and databases (Bid Tabs).
Researches past sales activity, including bid history, and provides information to Account Managers or management prior to bid or quote submittal.
Interprets project plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents and/or special provisions.
Determines bid requirements and coordinates requirements with Project Management and/or Regional Manager. Utilizes judgment to determine necessary company resources to support bid requirements and coordinates accordingly.
Prepares bids by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for Account managers review and/or approval.
Obtains plans and specifications either electronically or hardcopies for review and quoting purposes. Plans and specifications are generally available from the requesting contractor or the agency website.
Compile and maintain customer specifications in assigned territory and provide quotes based on proper specifications and products.
As required, provides Account Managers or customers with necessary submittals in support of sales quotes or orders.
Assists account managers in providing appropriate order documentation as requested; responds promptly and effectively to customer order inquiries
Prepares and submits sales orders including accurate cabinet take-offs, cabinet submittals, related plans and notes. All cabinet orders must be reviewed by account manager prior to entry.
Processes and submits change orders as necessary.
Enters sales orders for various direct purchases not facilitated by an Account Manager. I.E. Credit Card orders, stock or contract purchases.
Obtains ECPI required project information including bonding and contractor checklist for all purchase orders.
Maintains C4 CRM system, ensuring customer database up to date with respect to all quotes, opportunities, open and closed orders and new contacts.
Retains and files hardcopies of PO's, Sales Orders and quotes filed for reference purposes.
For warranty claims, researches order and determines applicability of warranty coverage. Prepares and submits RMA's (Return Material Authorizations), RA's (Repair Authorizations) and any approved credits. Exercises judgment in determination of amount and applicability of credit.
Assists or contacts any Departments such as Accounting, Planning, Shipping and Engineering with requests pertaining to Sales Orders or information needed to satisfy customers and contractors requests.
Communicates with customers as to order status/delivery requirements and resolve problems should they occur.
Coordinates expediting of orders as appropriate with Econolite Manufacturing based on customer and priority.
Applies judgment when interpreting or applying Econolite policies with respect to legal review of contracts and other order documents.
Notifies appropriate account manager of any issues affecting delivery.
Coordinates with account managers and or customers regarding the release of orders on Will Advise.
Coordinates with account managers and or customers regarding past due payments.

OTHER POTENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Coordinates generation of Certificates of Insurance on behalf of account managers.
Notifies account management or regional management of shipping holds or credit holds.
Maintains calendar of district or regional events, including trade events.
As required, orders necessary office supplies and equipment for assigned account managers.
Coordinates logistics in support of district or regional events, including regional meetings and trade events. Requires judgment to determine type of event, necessary equipment and marketing support, and coordinates timely delivery of materials to site. Coordinates return of materials following event.
Manages association dues and memberships for assigned account managers.
Recommends and determines district or regional sponsorships per the regional marketing plan.
Analyzes competitive bid results to estimate competitive margins.
Contributes to win-loss assessments of district or regional sales opportunities.
Serves as a proactive customer service & quality ambassador of The Econolite Group, Inc. by representing the organization in a positive, professional manner to support The Brand Promise
Performs other duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
Associates Degree
3-5 years of experience in sales or estimating role
Ability to multi-task
Ability to apply sound judgment to establish priorities
Strong social skills, including ability to build relationships with customers and assigned sales representatives.
Experience with CRM system, such as Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics preferred
Mandatory
High-school graduate
Proficiency with Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Explorer)
BUSINESS TRAVEL
o Occasional Travel to company or regional industry events (e.g. trade events)
o Total travel 15% or less.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
