Special Needs Program Instructor

Are you looking for an opportunity to be challenged, feel rewarded and make a significant difference? Join the dedicated staff of the Upper Main Line Y's rapidly expanding Ability Programming. Will implement special needs and inclusion programs. Act as branch and community resource for incorporating individuals of all abilities into existing YMCA programs, activities and events. Supervise and guide the special needs participants during planned activities, ensuring their safety and well being. Guide, encourage and challenge the participants to achieve their fullest potential. Support training and community events related to the YMCA Ability Center.

Tuesday:

Friday:

00 PM to 10:
00 PM and occasional weekends.
Qualifications:
College Degree, BA/BS in Special Education, Social Work, Recreational or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication (both written and oral) and organizational skills, team leader, ability to take initiative when needed; ability to work with other staff and volunteers, enjoy working with individuals with developmental challenges (mental and / or physical challenges).Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
