Maintenance Supervisor
ROLE
A leading sugar manufacturing company is looking for a Maintenance Manager for our East Coast Facilities. The candidate will develop the preventative maintenance program and key performance indicators to enable the business to achieve industry leading levels of operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and manage electrical, mechanical and infrastructure preventative maintenance programs. Knowledge of predictive maintenance programs. Spare part inventory management.
Ability to analyse the root cause of failures, keep diligent logs of downtime and improve the cost effectiveness of the maintenance function.
Manage and be accountable for the maintenance budget. The management of contractors.
Ability to train workers in basic maintenance on equipment leading to a TPM system.
Develop maintenance key performance indicators to continuously improve the maintenance function
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years' experience of being a maintenance manager in a food manufacturing packaging plant, looking after equipment, buildings and grounds.
Hands -on experience of packaging and processing systems, equipment and operations in a food manufacturing environment.
Strong safety ethic, essential to have knowledge and comply with all OHSA regulations and knowledge of undertaking relevant OHSA compliance inspections
Excellent communication skills: Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Additional information:
- 3 separate buildings: 2 of the buildings approximately 55K square feet and a 3rd approximately 30K square feet.
- Production over a 20 hour period.
- Maintenance department needs to rebuilt from ground zero.
