Dispatcher

This position is responsible for efficiently scheduling and dispatching transportation assets in compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines and adhering to the Company's safety protocol.
Safely dispatch drivers and equipment to ensure efficient utilization and minimum delay time.
Maintain communication and ensure employees have adequate information and resources to accomplish assigned tasks.
Administer and support safety to ensure a safe work place and to be in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Utilize independent judgment and effectively manage work assignments.
Coordinate equipment repair with appropriate maintenance staff. Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Meet committed delivery times and ensure quality service.
Pro-actively address and resolve issues with clients, vendors, employees, etc.
Abide by Company policies and procedures.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Provide a high level of customer service, and represent the Company in a professional manner.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
A High School diploma is required. College degree preferred.
Should have at least 2 years of transportation or logistics work experience.
Knowledge of DOT regulations is preferred
Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work with little supervision while maintaining goals/tasks.
Working knowledge of MS Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively communicate with management and customers.
Possess sound reasoning and problem solving skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
