Position: Histotech
Schedule: Full Time, Day Shift, and Monday-Friday; Hours for the day shift are flexible. There are no set hours and the schedule can be negotiated.
Location: Aurora, CO

Job Responsibilities
As a Histotlogy Technician, you will perform daily, routine, and specialized histology techniques and procedures, including: embedding, microtomy, grossing, processing, h&e staining, special staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and equipment maintenance for a dermatology pathology laboratory.
Additional responsibilities of the Histology Technician include:
Preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists
Staining tissue specimens with dyes or other chemicals to make cell details visible under microscopes
Cutting sections of body tissues for microscopic examination using microtomes
Mounting tissue specimens on slides

Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Histology Technician. Someone with ASCP certification in Histology would be a good fit for this role.
Additional requirements of the Histology Technician role include:
Associates or bachelors degree in life sciences, preferred

years of experience as a Histotechnician or Histotechnologist, preferred
Dermatology experience required and must desire to work in a dermatology specific anatomic pathology laboratory.
