Overview:
LANtek is seeking a Desktop Engineer who will be responsible for building and maintaining a secure, stable, and optimally-performing endpoint environment across the enterprise. Duties include the engineering of all desktops, laptops, and mobile devices; design and development of software distribution packages, images and scripts; patch management, and the establishment of standards-based desktop hardware architecture.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain all deployment and software applications for Windows and MAC's
Primary owner for the endpoint management infrastructure utilizing: Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft WSUS, MDM - AirWatch, JAMF, and Office 365.
Serves as the Technical Project Manager and interacts with Help Desk and Service Delivery teams to test and deploy end point solutions
Image development and maintenance, endpoint configuration and policy, endpoint standards, and technical solution design and implementation.
Help execute the vision and strategy for the endpoint environment, including emerging technology, BYOD (Blackberry,iPhone), new technical solutions, software and hardware roadmaps, etc.
Design, create, and maintain stable and efficient endpoint images/builds.
Help Project team when selecting hardware (Ipods, IPhones, IPC Sleds, Register Terminals,etc)
Design and create reports within management systems for decision making (licensing, patch, asset intelligence, etc.)
Prepare technical documentation, migration procedure documents and test plans.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and associated plans for desktop engineering.
Contribute to major technical projects, andEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
