Manufacturer in Abingdon, MD is need of a CNC Machinist.
Machinists are responsible for performing all machine shop operations such as, but not limited to, lathe work, drilling, grinding, milling, and hand tool work. Repair and overhaul factory equipment. Design and build manufacturing systems and equipment as needed. Set up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate component parts for production equipment. Makes adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
Requirements:
1. Must have clear knowledge of mechanical systems.
2. Ability to use precise measuring equipment and read complex drawings.
3. Trouble-shooting skills
4. Minimum of 2 years CNC lathe & mill experience.
5. CNC Programming
Responsibilities also include the absolute assurance of product quality standards that are in strict and complete compliance with Company goals and the customers' expectations. This position requires someone who is proactive and willing to commit the hours necessary to meet the customers' needs while mentoring and training the personnel assigned to the team.
